Square Circle Triangle
|
Several years ago Melbourne-based web and graphic design house Square Circle Triangle came to the realisation that even if you are busy you are not necessarily profitable. Directors Paul Wilson and Brad Smith decided to overhaul the way they managed their business. Deciding to work smarter as opposed to harder they installed the JobBag software system, thereby integrating their costing, work-flow management, cashbook accounting and general ledger. Mr Wilson noted when we ran our first reports in JobBag we discovered that for 90% of our jobs we had not billed for all the hours invested. The insight provided by JobBag made it clear that web-based projects were more profitable for Square Circle Triangle and in the last year the company has noted an overall gross profit increase of 15%. JobBag helped us see that with print-based projects we were taking on a lot of external costs, whereas with web-based projects we were mostly using internal resources. When we are not worrying about money we can better devote our brains to providing good creative business solutions for our clients.
Square Circle Triangle directors Paul Wilson and Brad Smith were interviewed for the technology section of The Age. Read the interview here.
